What’s in My Dog Walking Bag: Everyday Essentials for Walks with Todd

If you’re a dog mom, you know your walk bag isn’t just for you — it’s basically a mobile supply kit for your pup. Here’s what I keep in mine to make sure Todd and I are ready for anything, whether we’re on a quick stroll, headed to the park, or on an all-day adventure.

1️⃣ Treats

I keep my bag stocked at all times with quick, tasty training treats. Whether you use them as a reward, distraction, or motivation, treats are always great to keep on hand. My go-tos are:

  • Pupford Training Treats – Low calorie, bite-sized, and perfect for keeping Todd focused without overfeeding. They offer a wide range of flavors, from fruits and veggies to meats, and come in both freeze-dried and soft & chewy formats.
  • Woof Pet Love Nuggets – Todd-approved, high protein, and just the right size for rewarding good behavior on the go.

2️⃣ Dog Wipes

Because you never know when your dog will find a mysterious puddle or roll in something. I love:

3️⃣ Flea, Tick & Mosquito Spray

I swear by Wondercide — it’s plant-based, smells great, and keeps pests away during walks, hikes, and park days.

4️⃣ Pet Corrector Spray

This is my “just in case” tool for deterring unwanted attention from overly excited dogs when we’re out and about. Pet Corrector is essentially compressed air that makes a startling noise when sprayed. Its been a lifesaver for us in the past when we’ve been rushed by an off leash dog.

5️⃣ Training Clicker

Small but mighty. A clicker is one of my favorite tools for reinforcing positive behavior quickly and clearly. It gives Todd an instant signal that he’s done something right, and it’s way more precise than using just my voice.

6️⃣ Poop Bags 💩 (Because… obviously)

I keep a roll in every pocket so I’m never caught without them. Bonus points if they’re eco-friendly and have a dispenser that attaches to the leash.

Final Thoughts
My dog mom bag is basically a mix of snack bar, first aid kit, and entertainment hub for Todd. Having these essentials with me means I can handle just about any situation — from muddy paws to surprise training opportunities.
